Garage Door Spring Repair Across the Tulsa Metro

Broken torsion or extension spring? Door won't lift, opener straining, loud bang from the garage? Spring repair is what we do most — fast turnaround, real parts, no upsell.

Locally owned & operated Same-day repair on most calls Doorlink · Amarr · LiftMaster

Garage door springs do almost all the work of lifting a door — your opener just guides it. When a spring snaps (often with a loud bang), the opener strains, the door won't open, or the door is dangerously heavy to lift by hand. Springs are also one of the few garage door repairs that genuinely shouldn't be DIY: a torsion spring under load stores enough energy to cause serious injury. We replace torsion and extension springs across the Tulsa metro with the right size, the right cycle rating, and the right pairs — no half-fixes.

What's included

  • Torsion spring replacement (single and dual setups)
  • Extension spring replacement with safety cables
  • Standard-cycle (10,000) and high-cycle (20,000+) options
  • Matched-pair replacement (we replace both springs, not just the broken one)
  • Drum, cable, and bearing inspection while we're in there
  • Door balance check after replacement
  • Lubrication of moving parts on the way out
  • Same-visit repair on most calls — we stock common sizes

When this is the right call

  • Door won't open or only opens a few inches
  • Loud bang from the garage and now the door is heavy
  • Opener motor straining or running but door not moving
  • Visible gap in the spring above the door
  • Door operating fine but spring is past expected cycle life

Frequently Asked Questions

My door has two springs but only one is broken — do you have to replace both?
We strongly recommend replacing both. Springs installed at the same time wear at the same rate, so the unbroken spring is usually right behind the broken one. Replacing just one means a second service call within months.
How much does spring replacement cost?
Pricing depends on the spring type, size, and cycle rating your door needs. We give a flat all-in price before we start the work — no diagnostic-fee-then-quote-then-upsell game.
Is it safe to use my door before you arrive?
No. A door with a broken spring is unbalanced and can fall unexpectedly. Don't try to lift it by hand and don't run the opener — that can damage the opener gears and cables. Call us and we'll get there.
How long do springs last?
Standard springs are rated around 10,000 cycles — roughly 7 years if you open the door 4 times a day. High-cycle springs (20,000+) are an option if you use the door as your main entry.
